December 5, 2024 Christmas Luncheon
Many thanks to Liz Durham for managing the Guild's 2024 Christmas Luncheon! Liz and Linda made the beautiful table arrangements. D'Shanti Restaurant in West Ajijic was the location of a delicious meal consisting of two courses and dessert. We visited prior to eating and it was wonderful to catch up with one another, and especially to see some past members and guests.
All in all, a wonderful ending to a year of Garden Guild activities!

December 7, 2023 Christmas Luncheon
Many thanks to Beth Fluke for managing the Guild's 2023 Christmas Luncheon! Beth made the beautiful table arrangements. Thanks to Bonnie Newman for her gifts to each of us of Baking Soda; members read from a book on the many uses of baking soda. What fun! D'Shanti Restaurant in West Ajijic was the location of a delicious meal consisting of two courses and dessert. We visited prior to eating and it was wonderful to catch up with one another. So good to see Margaret Quinn after her back surgery!
All in all, a wonderful ending to a year of Garden Guild activities!

2022 Christmas Luncheon

DECEMBER 7, 2022 CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON
MANY KUDOS TO BETH FLUKE AND HER COMMITTEE ON PUTTING TOGETHER THE 2022 CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON. IT WAS THE END OF A DIFFERENT KIND OF YEAR (OR 2!) FOR THE GUILD, CAUTIOUSLY RESUMING MEETINGS, BUT 2022 WRAPPED UP IN TRUE GARDEN GUILD SPIRIT. D'SHANTI RESTAURANT IN WEST AJIJIC WAS THE LOCATION FOR A DELICIOUS MEAL OF 2 COURSES AND DESSERT. THE FELLOWSHIP BEFORE THE MEAL WAS SO ENGAGING THAT THE RESTAURANT HAD TO REMIND US TO BE SEATED TO START THE MEAL SERVICE!
BETH CREATED A FRAGRANT ROSE AND LILY CENTERPIECE FOR EACH TABLE, AND THEN EACH ATTENDEE FOUND A SPECIAL GIFT AT THEIR PLACE SETTING - A PAIR OF EARRINGS BROUGHT BACK FROM HER TRIP TO THAILAND!
2019 Christmas Luncheon
The annual Christmas luncheon was held at the beautiful home of Bonnie Newman on Tuesday, December 3. Bonnie outdid herself this year with the festive decorations in every room; it really put everyone in the holiday spirit. Catering was by Me & Julio, and the food was just as delicious as at the Floral Show. Joyce McNiven thanked Karen Lingo for leading the planning of the Christmas Party and Celina Haramis who helped Karen. Justine Bertram, Leigh Manheim and Cathy Sheehan assisted in setup. Merry Christmas to All!
2018 Christmas Luncheon
The annual Christmas luncheon was held at the beautiful home of Bonnie Newman during which we celebrated 50 years of the Garden Guild! Bonnie outdid herself this year with the festive decorations in every room; it really put everyone in the holiday spirit. Merilyn Shore arranged the catering and the food was delicious. Merry Christmas to All!

2017 Christmas Luncheon
St. Remy's was the perfect, tranquil location & the food was superb. It was a very happy occasion! On behalf of the Guild, Jan gave Georgia a certificate to a local restaurant & a subscription to a garden magazine that Cathy recommended in gratitude for her being President of the Guild this year.
2016 Christmas Luncheon
Our 2016 Holiday Luncheon was held Tuesday, December 6. The venue was the lovely rural restaurant at Quinta San Carlos Boutique Hotel on the south side of the lake. The Guild provided a bus so no one had to worry about driving. We are grateful to Karen Lingo (106-1275) & Jan Quarton (765-5565), Committee Co-Chairs, plus other Guild members who also helped make this event very special!
2015 Christmas Luncheon
The annual 2015 Christmas luncheon was organized by Celina Haramis and held at St. Remy in Tres Leones, Emiliano Zapata #10, here in Ajijic. Celina decorated each table and place setting in a beautiful, festive manner. As a special gift each member was given a little packet of note cards Celina designed and painted and then had printed. They were lovely! Tres Leones offered a delicious, varied menu and we all had a delightful time! Merry Christmas, ladies!

2014 Christmas Luncheon
The annual 2014 Christmas luncheon was organized by Margaret Quinn at St. Remy in Tres Leones, Emiliano Zapata #10, here in Ajijic. Margaret decorated each table and place setting in a beautiful, festive manner. As a special gift each member was given a booklet called “Snippy Tips #1, CARE OF FRESH FLOWERS AND FOLIAGE, which was written by the Garden Club of Toronto, Canada. Tres Leones offered a delicious, varied menu and we all had a delightful time! Merry Christmas, ladies!
