Tickets are Now Available!
Tickets are now available for the Lakeside Garden Guild’s 2024 Floral Art and Design Show! This year’s floral extravaganza will be an event to remember! The show will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 3 - 6 pm at Privada Revolución #1 in Upper Ajijic. Once again the Guild will be selling some of the arrangements to the public and Efren Gonzalez will be with us painting another memorable work of art that will be auctioned at the Show. All of the proceeds from this event will go to the Garden Guild’s annual community project.
You can purchase tickets from Sue Williams at senorasue44@gmail.com or any Guild member.Tickets are 500 pesos and include canapés and a complimentary drink.
The Lakeside Garden Guild has always been committed to an annual Community Project and the profits from this year’s show will be spent in support of purchasing computers for elementary schools in Ajijic which do not have funds to purchase these learning tools. Susan and Di Anne outlined some information about the flower show with members:

Drop off your arrangements between 10:00 – 12:00 the day of the show. You can drive up the driveway where two young men will be there to assist you. Please leave the drop-off area as quickly as possible to allow other cars to get in and out.

Please use a protective cloth or plate if you are putting your arrangement on one of the host’s tables.

All “primary” arrangements that are for sale should be securely packaged and boxed and have a label attached with the name of the arrangement. You do not need to name your “secondary” arrangements but should attach blank labels on the boxes. Drop off your “secondary” arrangements at the Floral Arrangements Sales Table near the pool. The Floral Arrangement Sales team will price all of your arrangements. Members are encouraged to have a secondary arrangement and possibly more than one.

Please ensure all “primary” arrangements remain in place until approximately 5:30.

Member should return to the venue by 2:30 p.m.

Photos will be taken of you with your arrangement between 2:30 and 3:00.

Please stand by your arrangement for a period of time during the show to answer any questions about your arrangement, as well as questions about the Garden Guild, and to have your photo taken.

Other information regarding the flower show:

There will be a separate drink ticket table that should ease crowding.

Bonnie and her daughter, Lori, will be managing the bar set up.

The following people have offered to bring coolers: Margaret, Beth, Janine, Carrie, Allegra, and Carol.

Efren Gonzales will be painting under a shaded area and there will be a poster and silent auction sheet set up. The painting will be delivered to the person who wins the silent auction. Jan Alswager and Merelyn Shore will be working on this and promoting it during the show, as well as others.

Janine and Allegra are working on designing and creating 3 banners for the Community Project.

The hosts, Jack and Justo, are very excited about having the flower show at their lovely home. They have been promoting it on Facebook.

Your collection is already set up for you with fields and content. Add your own, or import content from a CSV file. Add fields for any type of content you want to display, such as rich text, images, videos and more. You can also collect and store information from your site visitors using input elements like custom forms and fields.
Be sure to click Sync after making changes in a collection, so visitors can see your newest content on your live site. Preview your site to check that all your elements are displaying content from the right collection fields.
